Business robbed in west Belfast
Police in west Belfast have appealed for information following the robbery of a shop yesterday evening.
The incident happened at around 9pm, at a business on the Falls Road in the west of the city.
As the manager was locking up the premises, he was approached by two men who struck him from behind, then demanded that he hand over a sum of cash.
A struggle ensued and one of the robbers snatched a money bag and made off in the direction of the Springfield Road.
The second man then made his escape in the opposite direction.
One man was arrested by police at the scene.
Anyone who may have witnessed the robbery, or who may have any information in connection with it, should contact detectives on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in west Belfast. The robbery happened at a shop on Caffrey Avenue at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, 27 February. The suspect threatened a member of staff and made off with a sum of cash and cigarettes. He was arrested on Wednesday, 28 February, and has been detained in police custody.

At around 7.15pm, a man armed with a knife entered a shop in the Stewartstown Road area of the city and threatened staff. The robber then jumped across the counter and filled a blue sports bag with cigarettes and an undisclosed sum of cash.
