Man critical following Belfast city attack

A man is in a critical condition in hospital following an attack in Belfast City Centre.

The 23-year-old man received serious head injuries during the attack which took place in the Dunbar Link / Gordon Street area between 1.30 and 2.30am on Sunday morning.

Three men are being questioned in connection with the incident by police who have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.

Elsewhere a man was assaulted in what police described as a paramilitary style beating in Derry.

The man was attacked by five masked men who forced their way into a house and assaulted the man with a baseball bat.

He suffered heavy bruising in the attack.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Man critical following stabbing attack
A 22-year-old man is in a critical condition following a stabbing incident in Belfast City Centre. Police said that a man was arrested on Monday in connection with the stabbing. The attack took place in the vicinity of a bank in the Donegal Square West area in the early hours of Sunday, November 6 shortly before 1.30am.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.
