Shots fired during County Antrim robbery
A number of shots have been fired during a robbery in County Antrim earlier today.
At around 7.30am, the crew of a cash delivery van were approached by the occupants of a red coloured Toyota Carina, while making a delivery to the Tully Road area of Crumlin.
The robbers made off with a cash box containing a substantial amount of money.
No one was injured during the ordeal.
Police in County Antrim have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, noticed the red coloured Toyota Corina in the area around the time of the theft, or for anyone who may have spotted a metallic blue, old style Saab in the area just before the incident, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Glengormley couple tied up during robbery
A couple in their 60's have been robbed in their home in Newtownabbey. The incident, which happened on Wednesday night, was only reported to police yesterday. A gang of up to four men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, forced their way into their home on the Hightown Road in Glengormley at around 9.30pm.

Armed robber strikes five times in County Antrim
Four petrol stations and a shop in County Antrim have been targeted in a spate of robberies on Friday night. The first incident occurred in a shop on the Rashee Road in Ballyclare, when a man armed with a knife confronted a female shop manager and demanded cash. He made off on foot with a sum of money and cigarettes. No one was injured.

Man Attacked By Masked Men Armed With Hammer
A man has required hospital treatment after he was beaten with a hammer during an aggravated burglary in Ahoghill, County Antrim. Police responded to the incident on Brook Street last night, Thursday 03 May at 11pm. Three masked men forced their way into the home and attacked the victim, a male aged in his 30s, who was home alone at the time.

Two die in road traffic incidents
Two men have died following separate road traffic incidents over the weekend. Damien McGovern, 17, from Drumaran in Letterbreen, near Enniskillen, died following a collision at Sligo Road in Belcoo on Sunday evening. A 37-year-old man has also died after his lorry crashed in Greenisland, County Antrim early on Monday.

Car-jacking incident in County Antrim
Police have appealed for information following a car-jacking incident in County Antrim yesterday evening. The incident happened around 6pm, when a woman who was leaving a park-and-ride facility close to the Templepatrick roundabout was shunted from behind by another vehicle.
