County Armagh security alert continues

A security alert in County Armagh is continuing.

The alert follows the discovery of a mortar tube, but no device outside the Craigavon police station earlier today.

St Anthony's Primary School has been closed for the day and the area surrounding the Brownlow Health Centre has been sealed off while officers search for a device.

Police have urged anyone who comes across a suspicious object not to touch it, but to contact detectives immediately.

In a separate incident, a “viable device” was found at a pub in Strabane, County Tyrone.

The device has since been removed for forensic examination.
