Pensioner robbed in her County Down home

Police in County Down have appealed for information following a robbery at the home of an 87-year-old woman in the early hours of this morning.

The incident happened at around 12.30am, when the woman was wakened by three men who had entered her bedroom in her home in the Belfast Road area of Comber.

One of the men pushed the pensioner, before all three made off with an undisclosed sum of cash.

The woman was uninjured during the incident, however was left badly shaken by her ordeal.

Detectives investigating the robbery have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information in connection with it, to contact them in Newtownards on 0845 600 8000 or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

PSNI Investigates Arson Attack In L'Derry
The PSNI have launched an investigation into an arson attack in L'Derry on Monday, 11 March. At around 11.30pm last night, it was reported to police that two vehicles were on fire in the Grainan Drive area. Police and NIFRS attended the scene. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. Renewed Appeal For Information In West Belfast Murder Investigation
The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have renewed an appeal for information following the death of a man in west Belfast. A murder investigation was launched after a man was found seriously injured and unconscious in the Cupar Street area of the city on Wednesday evening, 6 March. The man passed away in hospital later that same night.

Man And Woman Jailed For 'Brutal And Senseless Attack'
The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of two people at Laganside Crown Court for a range of offences including grievous bodily harm with intent, threats to kill, common assault and possession of an offensive weapon. 26-year-old Dylan Black, from the Lisburn area, was sentenced to seven years in prison. He will serve three years on license.
