Man Remanded Over East Belfast Murder
A 41-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a man whose dismembered corpse was found in a bin in east Belfast.
Mark Anderson Warwick of Pottinger House appeared at Belfast’s magistrate court over the murder of William David McClatchey.
The body of Mr McClatchey, 34, from Taughmonagh in south Belfast was found in a bin in the courtyard at the rear of a block of flats at Pottinger House in the Mount area at around 6pm on Monday evening.
Magistrate Joe Rice remanded the accused in custody. He is due to appear again via video link on September 20.
Police are appealing for a man who rang Crimestoppers at 10:20am with details about the murder, to contact the incident room.

Man remanded over Belfast murder
A 45-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a man on Tuesday morning. The body of the victim, who has been named as 47-year-old Patrick Madden, from the Carrick Hill area of the city, was found in the Oldpark area of north Belfast. It is understood that Mr Madden had attended a party at the house the previous evening.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
