Relatives of the families of the two Derry men on board Sunday's plane crash at Phuket airport, are making their way over to the Thai island today.

Aaron Toland, 23, who was on board the ill-fated flight, was confirmed dead yesterday.

Mr Toland was one of three Northern Irish people on board, along with friend Christopher Cooley, also from Londonderry. Mr Cooley still remains in hospital.

Ashley Harrow from Moira, Craigavon, was also injured in the crash but it is believed he is recovering well.

A total of 89 passengers are now feared dead when the plane crashed on landing in bad weather at Phuket Airport on Sunday. There were 123 passengers and seven crew on board the flight from Bangkok when the flight crashed.

Air accident investigators are trying to establish the cause of the accident, among reports that say the pilot had been warned of dangerous winds as he prepared to land.
