Arrest Follows Cave Hill Death

The discovery of as body at the foot of Belfast Cavehill on Saturday afternoon has led to the arrest of and continuing questioning of a 24-year-old man.

The dead man, who is thought to have been in his 30s, has now been identified but the police have not yet released his name.

His body was discovered at the bottom of a cliff below a part of the mountain known as Napoleon's Nose.

A PSNI spokesman said the man arrested is assisting officers with enquiries and the death remains "suspicious".

Man Extradited From Poland To NI To Stand Trial For Alleged Child Sex Offences
A 59-year old man that has been extradited from Poland to Northern Ireland is to stand trial for sexual offences against children today, 31 January. Officers from the PSNI's International Policing Unit extradited the man yesterday, 30 January, ahead of his expected appearance before Downpatrick Crown Court today.
