Cregagh Body Find Probed

An investigation has been launched into the circumstances of how a man died in east Belfast.

The police inquiry began after a body was found in the Cregagh estate on Saturday morning.

Further information on the likely cause of death are to be revealed when a scheduled post-mortem examination is carried out later to establish whether his death was suspicious.

There are no further details at the moment.

Silver Fiesta Information Appeal In Father-Of-Three's Violent Death
A man whose body was found at his Cregagh Road home on Friday evening was murdered in a vicious assault, police have said. The PSNI said police were following a "positive line of enquiry" into the death of George Gray, a 52-year-old father-of-three. But Detective Inspector Chris Wilson said police still needed assistance from the public.

Body Discovered on Kilkeel Beach
Police received a report regarding the discovery of a body on the beach in the Moor Road area of Kilkeel just before 6.15am on Thursday, 21 May. Officers attended the scene alongside personnel from other emergency services. The body, believed to be that of a man aged in his 40s, has now been recovered and removed from the area.

Post-mortem due on Newtownabbey body
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried today on the body of a man found in Newtownabbey yesterday morning. The body was discovered by a council workman close to a shelter in the middle of Carnmoney Cemetery East at around 8am yesterday morning.

Lisa Dorrian Murder: No Plans For Further Searches
Police investigating the murder of Co Down woman Lisa Dorrian have no plans to renew searches for her body. Ms Dorrian, 25, was last seen at a caravan site in the Ballyhalbert area on 28 February, 2005. Her body has never been located.

Man's body discovered in Londonderry
Police are no longer treating the discovery of a man's body in Londonderry as suspicious. The body of the 45-year-old man, named as Colin Olphert, was found at a house in the Bonds Place area of the city yesterday evening. PSNI remained at the scene overnight and further investigations were carried out throughout the day.
