Man injured in east Belfast lunch-time shooting

A man has been shot and slightly wounded in a gun attack in east Belfast.

The shooting occurred at 1.30pm and took place when the man was working on a car in a garage on the Isoline Street off the Castlereagh Road in Belfast.

The gunman, with what witnesses described as a scarf tied around his face, approached the man and fired several shots.

It is understood that the victim of the attack was struck and received a minor wound in the back by a bullet that may have ricocheted off the vehicle.

The area was cordoned off by security forces who are examining the scene.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The PSNI have appeal for witnesses to or any one with any information about a shooting incident in west Belfast on Wednesday night. A man was shot in the leg at Creeslough Gardens at around 21:30 on Wednesday night. It is understood that victim is in his 40s and his injuries are not life threatening.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

Man Injured In North Belfast Shooting Attack
A man has been shot several times in north Belfast. The attack happened in an alleyway just off the Antrim Road at around 1am on Monday. The victim, aged in his 20s, is in a stable condition in hospital. Sinn Féin MLA Carál Ní Chuilín said: "I condemn the vicious shooting of this young man early this morning. This was a very serious incident.

Man Released Over West Belfast Shooting Attack
A man arrested in connection with a shooting in west Belfast last year has been released. The 42-year-old man was arrested in Craigavon on Tuesday and has been released pending further enquiries. The victim, in his 40s, was shot through the window of the car he was travelling in on the Rossnareen Avenue in west Belfast on Thursday, 19 November.
