Three men bailed after Co Down attack

Three men have been released on police bail after being arrested following a serious attack on a man in Co Down yesterday morning.

The man, who was visiting a house in New Meadow Road, Annsborough, was attacked at around 1am when the three men burst into the house and attacked him with baseball bats and knives.

It is believed the man suffered a broken arm and leg and received numerous stab wounds during the attack.

Police released the men on bail pending further enquiries into the incident.

Appeal After Masked Men Force Entry Into Home Of Elderly Man
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after five masked me forced entry into the home of an man aged in his 70s, on the Saintfield Road. Police received a report shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday, 17th February that between 10pm and 10.30pm on the same evening, five masked men entered a house in the Saintfield Road area.

Woman Attacked With Metal Bar In Ballycastle
Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a woman was attacked with a metal bar in the early hours of Sunday 19 August in Ballycastle, Co Antrim. A 27-year-old was attacked at about 1.45am on Fairhill Street. A 29-year-old man has been detained in connection with the incident. Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident.

Three Arrested In Connection With Ballymena Murder
Police are treating the death of a 69-year-old man from Ballymena as murder. The victim was discovered in the Drumtara area on Tuesday afternoon. Two men, aged 41 and 49, and a woman, 47, have been arrested and are in police custody. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
