Ulster MBA graduates to benefit from CMI membership

University of Ulster MBA students are to benefit from a new partnership agreement signed with the Chartered Management Institute.

Under this agreement the University’s MBA graduates will become full professional members of the Chartered Management Institute, the leading organisation for professional management in the UK. CMI membership provides the graduates with research facilities, business, market, company and product information.

Speaking at the launch of the Guaranteed Membership Scheme, Professor Robert Hutchinson, Dean of the University’s Faculty of Business and Management, said: “Guaranteed Membership of the Chartered Management Institute recognises the high standard of the programme offered to our 200 MBA students studying on the Jordanstown and Magee campuses.

“It is an excellent value-added feature and innovations such as this allow the University of Ulster to further enhance the value of qualifications offered. The standard of teaching in the Business and Management Faculty is acknowledged as amongst the best in the UK. The fact that Institute services are available online makes them easily accessible to members when and where they wish.”

Therese Rogan, Northern Ireland regional manager of the Chartered Management Institute, said the institute provides professional recognition for managers, who have the relevant experience and management qualifications.

“As members, MBA graduates gain access to the Institute’s online Continuing Professional Development Scheme, advice and guidance on career management, plus access to a range of legal and financial services.”

The Chartered Management Institute came into being on April 1st when the Institute of Management was granted a Royal Charter.
