Robbers Assault Tyrone 88-Year-Old
An elderly woman has been brutally assaulted during a robbery at her home yesterday.
The 88-year-old woman has suffered a broken rib and head injury when she was tied up in a terrifying robbery.
The pensioner was confronted in the hall of her home in Mountfield, Tyrone, at 11pm last night by three masked men who struck her and demanded cash.
She was then dragged into a bedroom of the Killyclogher Road house, where her ankles and hands were bound with scarves by her assailants.
The lady had been in bed before the intruders broke in.
Police have appealed to anyone with information about the incident to contact them and have made particular reference to the fact that there is normally no car at the house and are asking for anyone who noticed a vehicle there last night is asked to contact police as soon as possible.

Man Shot Multiple Times In Belfast
A man has been shot a number of times in west Belfast. The incident happened in the Norglen Gardens area of the city at around 7pm on Wednesday (26 February). Police received reports that the victim had been shot in the arms and legs. He was later taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Poots Meets PSNI Over Recent 'Drug Deaths'
Health Minister Edwin Poots has met with the PSNI and representatives from community action groups to discuss the supply and distribution of illegal drugs in Northern Ireland. The Minister asked asking police for an update on what is being done to prevent illegal substances being brought into Northern Ireland.

Pensioner Injured In Petrol Bomb Attack
A 65-year-old man has suffered minor injuries in a petrol bomb attack at his home in west Belfast. Larry McGrady was in bed in his Erris Grove flat when a device was thrown through a bedroom window at about 3.00am on Tuesday. The pensioner managed to extinguish the fire but suffered minor burns and cuts from broken glass.

Two injured in separate attacks
Two men are recovering in hospital today after separate paramilitary-style attacks. At around 9pm last night, two armed men burst into the victim's Beechwood Drive home in Donaghadee and assaulted him with pickaxe handles. The 42-year-old man was later taken to hospital with two broken legs.

Two Injured In Newtownabbey Attack
Two men have been injured following an attack in Newtownabbey on Monday night. A group of men assaulted the two men in Braden Glen at around 10.30pm. One of the victims is believed to have a suspected broken arm and leg, while the other man suffered swelling to the side of his head and a cut on his nose.
