Dissident Probe: Two Held And Two Freed
A further two men have been arrested as part of an investigation into dissident republican activity. Planned searches were carried out in south and west Belfast on Thursday evening. Meanwhile, the two men arrested on Wednesday in connection with dissident activity in Enniskillen, Irvinestown and Drumquin have been released without charge.
Orange Halls Attacked
A total of five Orange Halls have been attacked in Co Armagh in the last few days. The attacks in Tassagh, Aghavilly, Tannagh Hill, Ballyrea and Crosskeys were reported to police early on Friday. Ulster Unionist Party Deputy Leader Danny Kennedy has strongly condemned the attacks. He said: "I have spoken to the local lodge officials regarding the incident and to the police who are now investigating the attacks. This sort of sectarian behaviour must be utterly condemned and those responsible have no place in Northern Ireland society."
Accused For Irish Court
The man charged with the murder of Londonderry woman Jean Quigley is due in court in the Republic today. Stephen Cahoon, 35, is to appear before Harristown Court in Co. Roscommon. Ms Quigley was found beaten to death at her home in Cornshell Fields almost two weeks ago.

Man Arrested Over Dissident Activity Released Unconditionally
A man who was arrested in L'Derry by police investigating violent dissident terrorist criminality has been released. The 20-year-old was arrested on Tuesday. He was taken to Antrim police station for questioning. The man was released unconditionally on Tuesday evening.

Four men have been arrested by police investigating dissident republican activity. The men, aged 46, 47, 49 and 54 were detained in custody following a number of planned searches in Belfast on Tuesday, 23 August, They are currently being questioned at Musgrave Police Station.
