Belfast Robbers Target Three Pensioners

Three pensioners have been robbed in their homes during separate incidents in the city last night.

All three crimes are believed to have been committed by a group of four masked men, who made off with cash.

The police are investigating whether the incidents are linked.

A 79-year-old man was subjected to a robbery at his Stockman's Lane home at around 6.35pm.

A gang of four men forced their way into his house and stole cash.

Half an hour later, four men, including one armed with a hook-like object, robbed a pensioner living on Montreal Street, close to the Crumlin Road.

A 79-year-old Orient Garden resident was also robbed in his home by a group of four men.

All of the victims are said to be shaken by their ordeal.

The police have also reported a separate incident which happened in west Belfast yesterday.

A woman was robbed and assaulted as she walked on the Glen Road at around 8.30pm.

Two men pulled up in a car and demanded money.

The men punched the women in the face when she said she had no cash.

They made off with a credit card.
