Briton Dies In Nepal Plane Crash
A British tourist has been killed in a light aircraft crash in Nepal, the Foreign Office has confirmed.
The crash happened as the Agni Air plane travelled to Kathmandu. It is understood that the plane had originally been travelling to Lukla in the Mount Everest region, but it had been forced to turn back because of bad weather, and crashed near Shikharpur village.
The plane was carrying 14 people - eleven passengers, including six foreigners - four Americans, one Japanese and one Briton. They are all reported to have been killed.
Eyewitnesses said that the plane broke into pieces on impact.
A rescue effort was severely hampered by heavy rain in the area, but it has been reported that six bodies have now been recovered.

'Eight Britons' Killed In Thai Plane Crash
Eight Britons are believed to have been killed in the plane crash on the Thai island of Phuket at the weekend, Foreign Secretary David Miliband has said. Mr Miliband also said that another three Britons were still being treated in hospital, one of whom is in a serious condition.

Five killed in Australian plane crash

The plane, a Cessna 206, crashed near the town of Ipswich in Queensland, shortly after take-off, on Monday. Operated by the Brisbane Skydiving Centre the plane had seven people on board – three trainee skydivers, three instructors and the pilot.

An investigation has been launched into a light aircraft crash near the M25 in Essex on Monday in which two people were killed. A 43-year-old man and a three-year-old girl were killed when the single-engine four-seater plane crashed into a field on the M25 at Navestock, near Brentwood in Essex, around 4pm on Monday.
