Teens Guilty Of Victoria Station Killing

Five teenagers have been found guilty of the killing of a 15-year-old boy at Victoria Station in London.

Obi Nwokeh, 18, of Bermondsey, south-east London and a 17-year-old youth were convicted of murder, while Samuel Roberts, 18, of Camberwell, south-east London, Adonis Akra, 18, of Stockwell, south London and another 17-year-old were convicted of manslaughter.

Enoch Amoah, 18, of Camberwell, was cleared of both murder and manslaughter, but convicted of violent disorder, while all six defendants were also found guilty of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.

Sofyen Belamouadden, from Acton, west London, was chased through the ticket hall of Victoria Station on March 25 last year by a gang of youths in an attack which had been planned on Facebook.

The schoolboy was attacked with a variety of weapons, including a samurai sword, and was stabbed nine times, suffering wounds to the heart and lung.

The trial at the Old Bailey heard that the attack had followed rising tensions between pupils at two schools in west London.

Mark Heywood, QC, prosecuting, described the attack as "merciless". He said: "He was given no chance of life. So brazen and confident were his killers that they openly carried the various weapons that they used with them as they ran towards him and together hunted him down."

A number of other youths are due to stand trial over Sofyen's killing and all defendants will be sentenced after the these cases conclude.
