Police Hunt After Attempted Abduction Of Three-Year-Old Girl
Police in Blackpool are hunting two people on suspicion of the attempted abduction of a three-year-old girl on a busy street.
The man and woman are thought to have approached the girl outside the Salad Bowl greengrocers on Topping Street around 14:20 on Tuesday afternoon.
They are suspected of trying to lead her away before the girl's grandmother intervened.
Detectives are now trying to trace two people captured on CCTV footage.
"Understandably the public are going to be alarmed and concerned about what happened," she said.
"Our priority at the moment is to track these two people down as I believe they could have vital information that will assist the investigation.
"At this moment in time I would urge people to be vigilant and keep an eye out on little ones, especially when out visiting the shops in town."

Baby Girl Dies In Dog Attack
An 11-month-old baby has died after being mauled by a pet dog, police in Lancashire have said. The baby girl, from Emily Street in Blackburn, died in hospital at about 23:00 on Monday. Police have arrested a 26-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of child neglect in connection with the incident.

Madeleine's Mother Questioned By Police
Kate McCann, the mother of missing British girl Madeleine McCann, is being re-interviewed by Portuguese police. Her husband, Gerry McCann, will be re-interviewed tomorrow. Mrs McCann arrived at Portimao police station in the Algarve at 2pm local time on Thursday. She was accompanied by her lawyer Carlos Pinto de Abreu.

Surrey Police are searching for a 14-year-old girl who was last seen at her home on Sunday night. Brooklyn Sutherland was last seen at her house in Thames Ditton at around 9.30pm. She is described as having a dark complexion, around 5ft 6ins tall, with a slim build and very long, curly black hair.
