Model Dies In Hotel Balcony Fall
Police have launched an investigation after a model fell to her death from an apartment balcony at a hotel in Manchester.
Latvian model Laura Pahomova, 23, fell nine floors to a balcony below at the Light Boutique Aparthotel in Manchester where she rented a flat.
A number of delegates who where attending the Labour party conference where staying at the hotel.
The model was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman commented: "On September 30 at 11.40am emergency services were called to a block of flats in Joiner Street, Piccadilly Gardens, following reports a woman had fallen from her balcony.
"Officers attended and found a 23-year-old woman had fallen from a balcony several floors up and landed on another balcony nine floors below.
"She suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the death."

UK Toddler Dies In Holiday Balcony Fall
An 18-month boy has died after falling from a hotel balcony in Sardinia, while on holiday with his family. Brad Kremer, from Reading in Berkshire, fell from the first-floor balcony at the Chia Laguna Resort on the Mediterranean island on Saturday. He was rushed to hospital in the island's main town of Cagliari, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Lee Cook, 28, and Gemma France, 18, from Ashton-under-Lyne in the Greater Manchester area were discovered by a hotel night porter, lying in a pool of blood at the Casablanca Apartments in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria.

A British toddler is in intensive care after falling from a hotel balcony at a popular resort in Spain. One-year-old Daniel Betley, from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, fell 16ft from the first floor balcony of the Hotel Best on Tuesday. The toddler was on holiday with his mother and grandparents in Cambrils on Costa Dorada.

Hotel Balcony Plunge Boy 'Unlawfully Killed'
A six-year-old boy who died in a fall from a hotel balcony in Crete was unlawfully killed, an inquest has ruled. Liam Hogan, from Bristol, died from severe head injuries after falling from the balcony of the room at the Petra Mare Hotel in Ierapetra in August 2006, along with his father, John, and two-year-old sister Mia.
