Mark Bridger Appears Before Aberystwyth Magistrates
Mark Bridger has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of missing five-year-old April Jones.
The schoolgirl was last seen outside her home in Machynlleth, Powys, on Monday Oct 1st at 7pm.
The 46-year-old confirmed at Aberystwyth magistrates his date of birth was 6 November, 1965, and said the same for his Mount Pleasant farmhouse address at the village of Ceinws.
He will face Caernarfon Crown Court via video link on Wednesday charged with child abduction and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Bridger will be held in prison in Manchester.
The search for April continues.

The former rented home of Mark Bridger, where he is believed to have murdered five-year-old April Jones, has been destroyed. According to reports, Carol and Paul Jones, April's parents, watched as the house was demolished. Bridger was sentenced to a whole-life term for the abduction and murder of April in October 2012.

Funeral Service Held For April Jones
A funeral service has been held for April Jones, the five-year-old girl murdered by Mark Bridger almost a year ago. Family, friends, members of the local community, police and members of a search and rescue team that had helped search for the missing girl gathered in April's hometown of Machynlleth in mid Wales for the service.

The man jailed for the murder of five-year-old April Jones, has been attacked in prison. It has been reported that Mark Bridger, who is serving a full-life term at Wakefield prison, was slashed across the face with a makeshift blade. It is likely he will be left permanently scarred.

The search for missing five-year-old April Jones has continued into its fifth day. Dyfed-Powys Police have arrested Mark Bridger, 46, on suspicion of murder. April, who suffers from cerebral palsy, was last seen by another child near her home in the Bryn Y Gog estate in Machynlleth, mid Wales, at around 7pm on Monday.
