Fifth Man Arrested In ‘Muslim Patrol’ Investigation
Police investigating “Muslim patrol” videos appearing to show people being harassed by self styled vigilantes have arrested a fifth man.
Footage posted online show a small group appearing to approach and harass members of the public.
Following the arrest of four other men this week a 17-year-old was arrested in Walthamstow.
He remains in custody at an east London police station.
Three Appear In Court On Terrorism Charges
Three men have appeared at Woolwich Crown Court accused of planning a bombing campaign “bigger than the 7 July London attacks had they succeeded”.
Prosecutor Brian Altman QC told the court the three men "glorified 9/11 and the 7/7 attacks", and that they were "radicalised young men".
Irfan Naseer, Irfan Khalid and Ashik Ali, all of Birmingham, deny conduct in preparation of terrorist acts.
The trial continues.
Southampton FC Ban Journalists
Southampton football club has allegedly banned journalists from conducting vox pops with fans on land outside its ground, citing health and safety ground.
Hold The Front Page have reported that reporters carrying out interviews outside St Mary's stadium ahead of Monday night's match against Everton were told they must leave the area.
It is known that the club has been in dispute with the city's daily paper, the Southern Daily Echo, for a number of years, but it appears this move extends to journalists from all newspapers and broadcasters.

New Neknomination Death
Online drinking game, Neknomination, has caused a new death this week after a 20-year-old Nottingham man collapsed after drinking two pints of gin. Bradley Eames died on February 10, a few days after drinking the spirits. However, post mortem tests have been unable to confirm his death as a direct result of the game, according to police.

Eight Men Arrested Following Dawn Raids
Over 100 police officers have carried out a series of raids concerning child sexual exploitation offences in Oxford. Eight men were arrested following the raids at 6am this morning 2 June. Police are investigating approximately 60 offences in connection with the operation relating to female victims in Oxford between 1999 and 2007.

Muslim activist released on bail
Muslim activist Abu Izzadeen has been released on conditional bail after appearing in court charged with encouraging terrorism. Mr Izzadeen, 31, was arrested under Section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006 in Leyton High Road, east London around 9:30am on Thursday. It is thought that his arrest relates to a speech he made in Birmingham last year.

A man has been remanded in custody for the murder of 12-year-old Tia Sharp, after appearing in court earlier today. 37-year-old Stuart Hazell was arrested on Friday following the discovery of a body at the house he shared with Tia’s grandmother, Christine Sharp.
