Death Being Investigated For Measles Connection

The death of a 25-year-old man in Swansea is being investigated as part of the ongoing measles epidemic.

Public Health Wales (PHW) say a diagnosis of measles has not yet been confirmed but is being looked into.

South Wales Police described that man’s death as "sudden and unexplained".

"Whatever the cause of death in this case we should not be surprised if, as the outbreak grows, we start to see deaths in Wales," said Dr Marion Lyons, PHW's director of health protection.

Mr Williams' body was discovered in a flat at Port Tennant Road, Swansea at about 08:15 on Thursday.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.
