Second Largest Lottery Jackpot To Be Won

Someone could become the UK's second largest National Lottery jackpot winner tonight.

If only one person is to scoop the £157m EuroMillions jackpot, according to The Sunday Times Rich List, they would also become the 504th richest person in the country.

In July 2011, a couple from North Ayrshire won £161m in the jackpot, while last August, Gillian and Adrian Bayford from Suffolk claimed more than £148m.

A spokesman for the National Lottery said: "This draw is going to be massive and we urge players to get their tickets early to ensure they don't miss out.

"A life of fast cars and dream houses awaits the lucky winner.

"As well as making massive winners, EuroMillions helps to contribute to the £35m generated for National Lottery Good Causes here in the UK every week."

If no one matches all five main numbers plus the two Lucky Star numbers, the jackpot will rollover to Friday's draw.

Guidelines say the EuroMillions jackpot will be capped at £161.5m and any prize money which would boost the jackpot over that amount would be passed down to the next prize-winning level.

If there is no winner tonight, the maximum jackpot value is expected to be reached in Friday's draw.
