Police Release New Image of Murder Suspect
New CCTV images have been released of a man wanted in connection with the murder and rape of his ex-girlfriend.
Police are still looking for 28-year-old Michael Cope, who has been on the run for almost three months. He is wanted in connection with the death of Linzi Ashton, whose body was found at her home in Winton, east of Machester on Saturday 29 June.
The latest images to be released show Cope buying food at a convenience store on Atherton Road in Hindley, Wigan, at 1.25pm on Sunday 14 July, where he also withdrew money.
Police have urged the people of Hindley and Wigan to remain vigilant and contact them if they have seen Cope or any have any information on his whereabouts.

A 20-year-old man was walking on Queen's Square at around 03:45 when he was attacked and assault by three men. Police say that man in the e-fit may have important information about the attack.

Detectives in Bath has released an image of a car which may be connected to the murder of a 22-year-old man. Ben Foster was found in Ringswell Gardens, Bath on Sunday evening with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he died of a stab wound to the body.

Police Issue E-fit Of A Man Wanted In Connection With Colchester Murder
Detectives investigating the murder of a Saudi Arabian student have issued an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the investigation. Nahid Almanea was stabbed 16 times and was found dead on the Salary Brook Trail in Colchester, Essex, at around 10.40am on 17th June.

The London Mayor has condemned the use of a portrait of child murderer Myra Hindley in a promotional video shown in Beijing to showcase the London 2012 Olympics. Boris Johnson said he was "deeply disturbed" by the image which had been shown in a three-minute video at London House in the Chinese city, and has asked for it not to be shown again.
