Woman Dies In Newport Shooting
A woman has died following a shooting incident in Newport, south Wales this morning.
Armed police responded to a report of gunshots at around 08:45 on Thursday morning, and found a man and woman with gunshot wounds.
The make and female victims were taken to Royal Gwent Hospital where the woman died a short time later. The man is understood to be undergoing surgery.
It is understood that the man and woman, 49 and 46 respectively, had previously been in a relationship "which had come to the attention of the police".
Police have said that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the shooting.
A forensic examination of the scene is underway.

Three Bodies Found At Beachy Head
The bodies of a man, woman and young boy have been found at the foot of Beachy Head cliffs in Sussex, police have confirmed. The three unidentified bodies were recovered from the bottom of the cliff, near Eastbourne, on Monday morning. Sussex Police alerted the coastguard that two bodies had been seen at around 8.20pm on Sunday.

Three Arrested In Connection With Murdered Teenager
Police investigating the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old in Liverpool on Saturday have arrested two men and a woman. Teenager Kevin Wilson was shot in the back in Wavertree on Saturday, in what police described as a "targeted attack". Police have arrested a 54-year-old man from Toxteth, and a man and woman from Kensington, both aged 37.

Man arrested following deaths of two women
A man has been arrested following a shooting incident in Oxfordshire yesterday in which two woman died and another was seriously injured. The 39-year-old man, who has not been named, was arrested by officers from Cambridgeshire Constabulary in Peterborough at around 3am this morning.

Police have revealed that the two females found dead in a flat in West Yorkshire were both teenagers and had been stabbed. The bodies of Samantha Sykes, 18, and Kimberly Frank, 17, were discovered in a flat in Barden Road, Eastmoor after police received a tip-off from another 19-year-old woman in Dover.
