Three Injured In M4 Collision

Three people have been injured in a road crash on the M4 in Wiltshire.

According to reports, a lorry and a car transporter collided on the road between the Swindon East and Hungerford junctions just after midnight on Thursday.

It is understood that a man has been arrested in connection with the collision.

Two of the injured are being treated at Frenchay Hospital near Bristol and the third is at Swindon's Great Western Hospital.

Police say that the road eastbound was closed down along with two lanes of the westbound side.

The Highways Agency said that delays were possible but that road should be open again by mid-morning on Thursday.

Twenty Three Injured In Tour Coach Crash

A teenage cyclist has been seriously injured after he was involved in a collision with a police car that was responding to an emergency call. The collision occurred around 10:10pm on December 5 at the junction of Talbot Avenue and Oban Road in the Winton area of Bournemouth.

Cockle pickers among injured in road crash
At least 15 cockle pickers have been taken to hospital following a road crash in Liverpool today. Two other people were injured in the crash which saw a minibus collide with a lorry on the Balliol Road in Bootle shortly before 5am. Four of those injured, two of whom are in a serious condition, have been taken to the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
