Victoria Line Reopened After Concrete Flood

London Underground have reopened the Victoria Line after a flood of wet concrete shut it down on Thursday.

During upgrade work at Victoria Station, wet concrete was being used to "fill voids", but a spill led to the liquid running "out of control".

A London Underground (LU) spokesperson said the damage was caused by contractors, who were working on the new station in an area next to the Victoria line signal control room.

It is understood that staff worked through the night in order to have the station and line open again for Friday morning's rush hour.
