One Killed In Multi-Vehicle Crash On M1
One person has died following a multi-vehicle collision on the M1 in Bedfordshire, police have reported.
Police say that five cars and a motorcycle have been involved in a crash on the northbound motorway between junction 11 for Luton and junction 12 for Flitwick. The crash happened at about 05:30, police said.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and several others are said to be "seriously injured".
A traffic diversion is in place and the highways agency has said that there are "significant delays" in the area.
