Four-Year-Old Among Dead In Truck Accident

A four-year-old girl has died after being hit by a truck in Bath.

A Scania tipper truck hit the girl as she walked with her grandmother on Lansdown Lane, Bath, at about 16:00 on Monday.

Three men in the truck where also killed when the vehicle lost control on a steep hill, hitting several cars.

The child's grandmother and two others are being treated in hospital following the incident.

A full examination is to be carried out on the truck while officers try to establish the exact cause of the accident.

Two Arrested Over Bath Truck Accident Deaths
Police investigating a fatal tipper truck accident in Bath have arrested two men. Four people died after the 30-tonne truck lost control on Lansdown Lane hitting pedestrians and parked cars on 09 February. 4-year-old Mitzi Steady died alongside Phil Allen (52), Stephen Vaughan (34) and Robert Parker (59).

10-year-old British child killed in Crete
A 10-year-old British boy has died and three other children and an adult have been injured in a coach crash on the Mediterranean island of Crete this morning. The crash happened at midnight (2am GMT) when the coach, which was carrying 30 British tourists, was hit by a truck close to the resort of Malia.

Four-Year-Old Victim Of Bath Crash To Be Buried
The funeral is due to be held today of Mitzi Steady, who died in a tipper truck crash in Bath. The four-year-old girl was one of four people killed, including her grandmother, earlier this month when a truck lost control on Lansdown Lane in the city.
