Man Who Skipped Bail On Sex Offences Arrested

A man wanted by police after he skipped bail on child abuse charges has been arrested in Dorset.

Police have said that a tip-off from a member of the public led them to a caravan park in Poole, where they found Terence Lee.

The 56-year-old, formerly of Sandgate Road in Hall Green, was due to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on 25 May on suspicion of 10 counts of rape between 1989 and 1994.

However, Lee failed to attend the hearing and detectives appealed for information to help track him down.

Detective Constable Jon Barker, from Public Protection Unit, said: "I’d like to thank those people who called us with information. As a result of the dozens of calls we received we have been able to track him to Poole."
