Four Men Arrested During Burglary

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary by the Metropolitan Police's Special Project Team.

The men were detained at 15:00 on Tuesday, 22 September, after they gained entry into a residential address in Eaton Square, Belgravia.

The police operation was pre-planned and intelligence-led. Armed officers were in attendance as a precaution. No shots were fired, but distraction devices were used by police.

The four men remain in custody in a central London police station.

Fake 'Cop' Teens Held After Burglary
Two teenagers, posing as police officers, have been arrested in Manchester following an apparent burglary. The 90-year-old victim was at her home on Derwent Street in Leigh last night when she heard a banging noise. She went to investigate and was met at the lounge door by two men, who told her not to worry because they were police officers.

Four Arrested By Armed Police In Central London
Armed police have arrested four men in Central London during a planned vehicle stop operation. The men, aged 16 to 20, have been charged with conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life. Police said that the arrests were made as part of an investigation being led by Trident detectives.

Kent Police, in partnership with officers from the Metropolitan Police Service, have arrested two men in East London on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. On 3 May, Kent Police began a search for Michael Wheatley, 55, who had failed to return to HMP Standford Hill after being released on temporary licence.
