Murder Investigation Launched After Body Found On Plumstead High Street
A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body in Plumstead High Street.
Police were called by a member of the public shortly before 14:00 on Wednesday, 23 September to a report of a man found unresponsive under a bridge near Plumstead Train Station.
Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and found the man suffering serious head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have said that they believe they know the identity of the man, but are waiting for formal identification.
Anyone with any information about circumstances surrounding the man's death is asked to contact police on 0208 721 4205, alternatively, the police non-emergency line on 101 or to remain anonymous contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via crimestoppers-uk.org.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.
