'Up To £80m' For SSI Steel Workers
A financial package of "up to £80 million" has been agreed by the government to support steel workers on Teeside.
It follows the announcement that SSI UK is to "mothball" its Redcar steel plant with the loss of 1,700 jobs.
The exact details of the package are still being finalised but reports suggest that it will include cash for retraining and help for small local businesses.
St Albans Sinkhole 'Could Take Weeks To Repair'
A 33ft deep sinkhole in St Albans could take weeks to repair, according to a report by the BBC.
The 66ft diameter hope opened in the garden and driveway of a home on Fontmell Close in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Five homes were evacuated with another 50 homes left without power following the collapse.
Ground investigations on the land around the hole are ongoing.
3-Year-Old Dies After Being Hit By Car On Family Driveway
A three-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car on the driveway of a family home in Poole.
Police have said that the accident happened on Bury Road, Branksome on Thursday at about 15:30.
Police said they were investigating to determine "exactly what happened".

Tata Steel Cut 900 Jobs Nationwide
900 jobs are to be axed by Tata Steel across the UK, almost 600 of which will be at plants in Wales. It is understood most of the Welsh losses will be management and administrative posts in Port Talbot and Llanwern near Newport. 155 jobs in Yorkshire will go, alongside 120 in the West Midlands and 30 on Teesside.

As part of the long-running 'Get Home Safely' campaign, twelve Company magazine readers met with the Prime Minister and the Home Secretary to discuss their concerns. After a night walk to Number Ten Downing Street, the women spoke with David Cameron and Theresa May, highlighting that any cuts to the police service would be a big concern.
