Body Found In Woodland Believed To Be Missing 60-Year-Old

The body of a man found in woodland in Brimington is believed to be of a missing local man.

Police said the body, found by a dog walker on Friday, 23 October, is believed to be of Roy Thompson.

It is understood a formal identification is yet to take place, but police said they are confident it is Mr Thompson.

The 60-year-old was last seen leaving Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Royal Hospital at 09:20 on Thursday, October 15.

Police in Greater Manchester have arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with the discovery of a woman's body. The body of a woman, believed to be aged in her 40s, was found by police at a house on Boleyn Court in Heywood. Police say they found the body following a call.

Man found dead following reports of shooting
Police are investigating shootings in south Wales which left a man dead and two men injured. Gwent Police said that they had been called to a report of a shooting in Usk View, Govilon, Abergavenny around 2:50pm on Sunday. Two men, believed to be brothers, aged 17 and 20, were found in the garden of a house.

Body Found In River Believed To Be Euan Coulthard
Police searching for missing law student Euan Coulthard have found a body in the River Wear. Specialist diving teams were brought in by Durham police following reports of a body near the riverbank. The 19-year-old student from Bottesford was lats seen in the city centre on 14 January. Durham Police confirmed his family have been informed.

Body Believed To Be Jordon Roberts Found In River Wear
A body has been found in the River Wear, County Durham, believed to be missing teenager Jordon Roberts. Jordon, 17, got into difficulty after entering the water on Monday with his two brothers and a family friend at the river near Finchale Abbey. The friend pulled one of the brothers out of the water, however he was unable to reach Jordon.

Naked Body Found On Beach Believed To Be Alan Jeal
The family of Alan Jeal have identified a body found on a Cornish beach. Mr Jeal's body was washed up on Perranporth beach on 25 February, his jacket, wallet and a photograph were also found on the beach.
