Prince Naseem arrested after car crash

Ex-WBO featherweight champion Prince Naseem Hamed has been released on bail, following his arrest after a car crash.

One man was left seriously injured following the collision between Mr Hamed’s Mercedes sports car, a Ford Mondeo and a Volkswagen Golf in Ringinglow Road in Sheffield.

The driver of the Volkswagen Golf was trapped in his vehicle and had to be airlifted to hospital, reportedly suffering from breaks to both arms and a broken leg. Police said that a female passenger also sustained cuts and bruises in the accident.

Mr Hamed, 31, was arrested along with two other men, both aged 26, on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident involving injury and allegations of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
