Man arrested over abduction of girl from bath
Police investigating the abduction of a six-year-old girl from her bath last December have arrested a man.
A 34-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday morning at an address in Blyth, Northumberland, on suspicion of abduction and serious sexual assault.
A 25-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
The girl was snatched from her bath in her home in Willington Quay, North Tyneside on December 27. She was driven off and sexually assaulted before being dumped naked in a lane near her home fifteen minutes later.
Police had described the abductor as "extremely dangerous".

Man remanded over bath girl abduction
A 34-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the kidnap, rape and indecent assault of a six-year-old girl, abducted from the bath in her home. Peter Ivor Smith - also known as Voisey - from Blyth, Northumberland was arrested on Tuesday morning in connection with the attack, which took place on December 27 last year.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the rape of 12-year-old girl in east London. Three males lead the girl to a "secluded" end of a street in Walthamstow at around 00:15 on Saturday before two of them attacked her, held her down and raped her.

Police Release Car Image In Bath Murder Investigation
Detectives in Bath has released an image of a car which may be connected to the murder of a 22-year-old man. Ben Foster was found in Ringswell Gardens, Bath on Sunday evening with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he died of a stab wound to the body.

Two arrested in investigation into teenager's abduction
Police investigating the abduction of a teenage girl from a street in Wrexham on Friday have arrested two people, according to reports. It is understood that a man has been arrested and charged with perverting the course of justice, while a woman is believed to be in police custody on suspicion of assisting an offender.
