Nine arrested following fatal attack

Nine men have been arrested in connection with the death of a 21-year-old man in Luton at the weekend.

The man, who has not been named, was attacked in Leagrave Road in the city around 9:10pm on Sunday night. Police said that two cars being driven by "opposing groups" of young Asian men collided at a junction and the occupants of one car attacked the occupants in the other car with baseball bats.

The men were arrested at an address in Wembley, north London, on Monday night by officers from Bedforshire, who were assisted by the Metropolitan Police.

They are being held at various police stations in Bedfordshire and London.

A murder inquiry has been launched.

Three arrested over homophobic murder
Police investigating the murder of Jody Dobrowski have announced that three men have been arrested in connection with the case. Mr Dobrowski, a 24-year-old bar manager from southeast London, was beaten to death on Clapham Common in the early hours of Saturday morning.
