Diana Jury To Visit Paris Crash Scene

The jury from the inquest into Princess Diana's death are to visit the scene of the fatal car crash in Paris.

It was announced at a preliminary hearing that the jurors are expected to make the visit to the French capital shortly after the inquest begins on October 2.

Princess Diana, 36, and Dodi Fayed, 42, were killed when their Mercedes crashed in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel, shortly after leaving the Ritz Hotel on August 31, 1997.

Their driver, Henri Paul, was also killed in the crash.

The jury is due to be sworn in on October 2 and opening remarks by Lord Justice Scott Baker will follow this.

Video link evidence, involving eyewitnesses from the scene of the crash, is expected to begin around October 10.

Dodi's father Mohamed al Fayed has requested 68 witnesses, while the Ritz has asked for eight witnesses.
