Photo-fit Aids Glasgow Police Hunt

Strathclyde Police have issued a forensic artist's impression of a man they want to trace in connection with an attempted murder.

Police found the female 47-year-old financial advisor with gunshot injuries in Glasgow's Garnethill, in the city's Chinatown shopping area, on 21 May,

She was admitted to hospital but has since been released and is recovering.

The man is described as white, 40-45 years old, between 5'8 and 6'1 tall, slim build with prominent stomach, thin face with a scar on the right cheek, reddish hair with 2-3 days growth on his face. He spoke with a Glasgow accent.

At the time of the incident he was wearing beige or brown coloured jacket, a black T-shirt, denims and a beige baseball cap.

Detective Inspector John Mellon said: "Extensive investigations have been ongoing since this incident to trace the person responsible.

This woman was working alone within the office and we believe the attack occurred around 2pm that Wednesday afternoon."

Det Insp Mellon has urged the man to come forward or any person that recognises him to contact police on 0141 532 4174.

Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Detectives in Glasgow have issued a new sketch of a man they want to trace in relation to a shooting which took place exactly a year ago today. A 47-year-old female financial adviser spent weeks in intensive care after being shot in the neck by a lone gunman in Glasgow's Chinatown area.

Police Appeal For Man Missing From Glasgow Hospital
Police Scotland have appealed for help in tracing a man missing from a Glasgow hospital. Iain McHarg, 58, is a patient at Leverndale Hospital in the Pollok area and was last seen at 1330 hours on Tuesday 11 August 2015. He is described as 6'2", heavy build, bald with short grey hair at the sides and stubble.

Police shoot man in Glasgow
Police have shot and seriously injured a man in Glasgow. It has been reported that the man appeared to have been unarmed. The incident occurred in the Bridgeton area of the city last night, around 8pm, when the man allegedly confronted two police officers in a patrol car, as though he was carrying a gun.
