About Bannside Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a primary healthcare profession focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and rehabililtation of musculoskeletal (MSK) disorders, and the effect these have on patients’ general health.

Bannside Osteopathy was established in 2013 by Donal O’Reilly when he moved home to Northern Ireland following four years in London. In London he gained his Masters in Osteopathy from the British School of Osteopathy. Using his vast experience of and passion for decreasing a dependence on medication for treating musculoskeletal conditions, Donal has been able to help many people in the Banbridge area with back pain and much more.

Using many of the diagnostic procedures applied in conventional medical and orthopaedic assessments, oseopaths aim to maximise the function of the MSK system without the use of medication or surgery wherever possible. Osteopathy is founded on the guiding principal that the body has the ability to heal itself and that osteopathic intervention only serves to reinforce these natural process of self regulation.
