Masked Men Hijack Car

Two men wearing masks have hijacked a car in west Belfast.

A black Vauxhall Vectra parked in Milfort Street was hijacked by the men at about 09:10 on Monday morning.

The hijackers got into the vehicle and forced the motorist to drive to a nearby address.

They then told the man to get out before driving off.

Men Charged Over Armed Robbery

Two men have been charged by detectives investigating an armed robbery at a County Tyrone shop.

The incident occurred at about 22:00 on Sunday in Dungannon.

A man armed with a knife entered the shop in the Donaghmore Road area and ordered a staff member to hand over cash.

Money was handed over to the robber, who was wearing a pink balaclava.

The men aged, 20 and 30, are due to appear at Omagh Magistrates' Court today.

PSNI Appeal Over Tyrone Woman

The PSNI has released an appeal over a 34-year-old woman from County Tyrone who has been missing since 13 May.

Charlotte Murray is originally from the Omagh area but her last known address was in The Moy.

Charlotte was reported to police as missing on Monday 13 May but family or friends have not had contact with her since the beginning of November 2012.

She is described as being approx 5'4" tall, of slim build with blue eyes. Her picture can be seen on the PSNI website.

Police have requested Charlotte or anyone who knows of her whereabouts to contact them at CID in Dungannon on 0845 600 8000.

£12k Confiscation Against Lisburn Man

A Confiscation Order to the value of £12,303 has been carried out against a Lisburn man at Craigavon Crown Court.

61-year-old Eric Jeffers of Portmore Avenue, Lisburn, had claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit on the grounds of being a full time carer who had no savings or other source of income.

But Mr Jeffers failed to declare he had savings in excess of the allowed thresholds.

He received £14,160 in benefits he was not entitled to over a five-year period.

The defendant pleaded guilty on 20 November 2012 to three charges of failing to declare his true circumstances.

He has until 30 November 2013 to satisfy the order.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

Teenager Beaten And Shot In Strabane
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in Strabane, County Tyrone. At about 7.20pm on Wednesday night two masked men forced their way into a house in the Springhill Park area of Strabane, where a 19-year-old man was beaten with a baseball bat before being shot in the leg. The victim remains in hospital.

Appeal For Information On Aggravated Burglary In Cookstown
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a report of an aggravated burglary at the Queens Avenue area of Cookstown on Friday 3rd February. Shortly after 10pm, it was reported that four masked men entered a property in the area with one of the men armed with an iron bar and another man armed with a suspected firearm.

Armed Men Try To Hijack Car In North Belfast
A man has escaped injury after managing to drive off during an attempt to hijack his car in north Belfast. The attack was carried out by two men armed with a knife and a dog chain.
