Man Stabbed In Stomach

A man has been stabbed in the stomach by another man in south Belfast.

Police said the incident occurred somewhere in the area incorporating the Donegall Road, Donegall Avenue and Tates Avenue between 17:45 and 18:15 on Thursday evening.

The victim has been taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries.

Police have appealed for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident to contact them.

Violence Stalks Derry And North Antrim
A man has been assaulted in Londonderry after four men forced their way into a house in the city. The incident, when the victim - in his early 20s - was hurt, happened in Lisnarea Avenue at about 3am on Sunday. One of the men was armed with a baseball bat, another was carrying a chain.

Man Shot In Legs In Co Armagh
A man has been shot in both legs in Co Armagh. A group of men forced their way into a house in the Meadowbank area of Craigavon and dragged the victim outside and shot him in both legs. The incident happened on Thursday night. The 26-year-old man has is being treated in hospital. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police Cancel Appeal For Missing Omagh Man
Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is. No further details have been released but police thanked the public for their help.

Mother And Son Escape Injury During Aggravated Burglary
A mother and son have escaped injury following an aggravated burglary in north Belfast. A man armed with a knife entered a house in the Flaxton place area at around 7am. A purse was stolen during the incident. The victims were badly shaken.

Police Appeal For Missing Man Colm Davey
Police have issued an appeal to trace missing 26-year-old Colm Davey from Castlewellan. Colm was last seen in the Drumaroad area of Castlewellan at approximately 3.20am on Saturday, 05 June.  He is described as being 5’ 7” in height, of medium build, and with short ginger-coloured hair.
