Suspicious Device Discovered In Seaford 'Viable'

A suspicious object discovered in Seaford was a "viable device", according to police.

The device was discovered at a house in Naghan Court at about 3pm on Monday, 11 June.

Police launched a security operation and Army bomb disposal experts were called in to examine the device.

A number of residents were evacuated from their homes during the operation, which is understood to have lasted around an hour.

Police have issued an appeal for information.

Sinn Féin MLA Emma Rogan said: "This security alert caused significant disruption to local residents.

"Those responsible have shown complete disregard for all the people of this community.
