21-Year-Old Arrested In Connection With North Belfast Murder
Detectives from PSNIs Serious Crime Branch have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in North Belfast
Police received a report from the Ambulance Service just after 9pm last night, Thursday 28 June, that they were attending to a seriously injured male who they had located in the area of Parkmount Street / Seaview Close.
The man, aged 30, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital where he unfortunately died from his injuries.
Detective Chief Inspector Pete Montgomery said: "A 21 year old male has been arrested on suspicion of murder and have been taken to Musgrave Police Station for questioning.
"I am appealing for anyone it was the area of Parkmount Street or Seaview Close between 8pm and 9.30pm last night and who witnessed anything to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on 101 quoting reference 1487 of 28/06/18. Alternatively information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."

Man Arrested In Bangor Shooting Investigation
A man has been arrested by detectives investigating the attempted murder of two men in Bangor. The male victims, aged 24 and 33, were shot as they sat in a car in the Eastway area of the Whitehill estate at about 00:45 on 10 February. UTV has reported that the UVF are thought to have been behind the attack.

Detectives investigating the murder of a nine-year-old girl in Co Down nearly 25 years ago have today arrested a man on suspicion of her murder. Jennifer Cardy was discovered dead by two fishermen at McKee's Dam near Hillsborough in 1981 after being snatched as she cycled to a friend's house on 12 August that same year.

On Thursday, 21 March, police received a report of a concern for safety for a couple at a property in the Newcastle Road area of the town shortly after 12.50pm. On arrival, officers located the body of a man who was unconscious and not breathing.

The man was arrested on Wednesday, 21 February by detectives from PSNI's Legacy Investigation Branch, investigating the murder of Constable Colleen McMurray and the attempted murder of her colleague in 1992.
