Three Arrested Following Newry Assault

Police have arrested three individuals following a reported assault in Newry this morning, Monday 03 June.

A man in his 40s was found unconscious in a car park at the junction of New Street and Sugarhouse Quay at around 2.25am. He has been taken to hospital for his injuries.

Police have since arrested two men aged 34 and 29 and a 33-year-old woman in connection with the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives in Newry on 101, quoting reference number 165 of 03/06/19.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an assault at a house in Newry. A 26-year-old man was attacked with a hammer at a flat in Cleary Crescent in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 29 May. The victim is receiving treatment in hospital.

Man Arrested Following Police Chase From Belfast To Newry
A man has been arrested following a police chase from Belfast to Newry. Two police officers were injured after a car reversed into their vehicle on the Falls Road in west Belfast at around 4pm on Wednesday, 01 February. A silver coloured Renault Scenic towing a trailer failed to stop after it reversed into a police vehicle.

Man Arrested After Woman Dies In Co Armagh Collision
A man has been arrested after a woman was killed in a crash in Co Armagh. The collision happened on the Newry Road just before 3.30am on Sunday. The 25-year-old male is being detained by police on a number of motoring offences. The road has been reopened.
