Man Extradited From Poland To Face Rape Charges In NI
A 45-year-old man is due to appear before Newry Magistrates Court today, 29 November, following his extradition from Poland.
Officers from the PSNI's International Policing Unit travelled to Poland on Tuesday 28 November to accompany the man back to NI.
The man was wanted in NI to stand trial for rape, sexual assault and assaults in the Newry area between 2011 and 2019.
Sergeant Davey from the International Policing Unit said: "This demonstrates our commitment to work with International Law Enforcement partners to track down wanted persons and bring offenders to justice. Our message is clear to anyone who has left Northern Ireland to avoid arrest or the consequences of their actions. We will relentlessly pursue those that are trying to delay or deny justice to victims of crime."

Man Wanted In Lithuania Arrested In Magherafelt
The PSNI have arrested a 23-year-old man in Magherafelt wanted in Lithuania to face charges of human trafficking. The man was arrested by officers from the Police Service's local policing team in Magherafelt, with assistance from the International Policing Unit. He is expected appear before extradition court in Belfast later today.
