Man Arrested After Machete Incident In Coalisland
A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident in Coalisland on Sunday, 28 April, during a man armed with two machetes was threatening members of the public.
The incident occurred in the Derry Road area shortly before 1.45pm.
Inspector Knipe said: "Officers and attended and quickly located the 25-year-old man, arresting him on suspicion of possession of an article with a blade or point in a public place. During the arrest, the man spat at an officer, and was further arrested on suspicion of assault on police.
"He remains in police custody at this time.
"Our enquiries are ongoing into this incident, and we would encourage anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact police on 101 quoting reference 774 28/04/24."

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
