Man Arrested In NI On Irish Extradition Warrant
Officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) today, Tuesday, June 3rd, arrested a 71-year-old man who was wanted in the Republic of Ireland.
The man is sought to stand trial for drug possession and supply offences that occurred in Dublin in 2021.
The individual was detained on an Irish extradition warrant after being produced from prison and is scheduled to appear before Laganside Extradition Court later today.
Sergeant Davey, from the PSNI's International Policing Unit, commented on the arrest: "Today's arrest is another example of the Police Service working closely with An Garda Síochána to locate fugitives and bring them before the Extradition Courts. Our message is clear; Northern Ireland is not a safe haven for any wanted persons trying to avoid arrest and the consequences of their previous actions. We will relentlessly pursue all those attempting to evade justice."

Two men have been arrested in L'Derry on Wednesday 4th December on Italian extradition warrants. The men, aged 67 and 29, are wanted in Italy to serve prison sentences for serious assault and child cruelty offences. The crimes allegedly took place in the Brescia area between 2015 and 2019.

Man Arrested In Belfast Over Dublin Murder
A man has been arrested in Belfast in connection with a murder in Dublin in on 26th November 2024. A 63-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the Finglas area. The 22-year-old is wanted in the Republic of Ireland to stand trial for murder.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.
