PSNI Appeal Following Aggravated Burglary In Bangor

Detectives are appealing for information following a report of an aggravated burglary in Bangor on Sunday, 5 October.

Police received the report around 10.35pm on Sunday night, concerning four masked men, some armed with hammers, who forced entry into a house in the Abbot’s Close area.

Detective Sergeant Westbury confirmed that once inside, one of the men struck a male occupant on the head and shoulder with a hammer before pursuing him into the back garden. The masked men then ran back through the house and made off down an alleyway towards the Newtownards Road.

The male occupant subsequently attended hospital for treatment for his injuries.

The PSNI is appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or who has relevant CCTV, dash-cam, or other footage to assist their enquiries. PSNI Issue Appeal On Ballygowan Arson Attack
Detectives are appealing for information after three cars were destroyed in an arson attack in The Brae area of Ballygowan on Sunday evening, January 26th. Police received a report from the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service shortly before midnight that the vehicles had been engulfed in flames.
