Throughout the duration of the event, from its commencement until the crowd dispersed, police noted a number of individuals dressed in paramilitary-style uniforms. Authorities believe these actions constitute a breach of the Parades Commission's determination and represent an offence under the Terrorism Act 2000.

Chief Superintendent Gillian Kearney, the Area Commander for Derry City and Strabane, confirmed that a formal probe into the matter has begun.

Chief Superintendent Kearney stated: "The outcomes of our investigations from previous years illustrates that where offences occur, we will investigate. As this is now a live investigation, it would be inappropriate to comment any further."
